Bachelorarbeiten | Bachelor Theses
Despite the current situation, the procedure for bachelor and master theses at the Chair of International Management as described above is upheld until further notice. Possible changes to our kick-off seminar will be announced on this homepage and in the respective StudOn groups. |
Thank you for your interest in writing your bachelor thesis at our department.
Every semester we supervise around 30 bachelor theses in total. A prerequisite for writing your bachelor thesis at our department is the participation and successful completion of the course “Management in Emerging Markets”.
For students who started studying in or after Winter Term 2020/2021, the participation and successful completion of the course “International Management” will be considered the prerequisite for writing their thesis at the Chair of International Management.
There are two application phases per semester, which start with the publication of available topics and end with a mandatory kick-off seminar (see current dates below). Around four weeks prior to the next kick-off seminar, which marks the beginning of a new application phase, we upload a list of 10 to 20 topics to the following StudOn group: https://www.studon.fau.de/cat2585621.html. You can then apply for a maximum of five different topics directly through this StudOn group. In the case that more than one student is interested in the same topic, the topic is assigned to the student who achieved the better grade in “Management in Emerging Markets”. An application is possible up to three working days before the next kick-off date.
After the application period has expired, we will send you an email and let you know whether or not you were assigned one of your preferred topics. In case you were assigned a topic, you will be invited to participate in our mandatory kick-off seminar (see current dates below). In this seminar, we will inform you about the next steps and will give a lot of necessary and helpful information on your bachelor thesis and you will have the chance to ask questions.
After the kick-off seminar, you will have to submit a short thesis proposal to your thesis advisor, which outlines the research question(s), objective(s), structure and planned methodology of your bachelor thesis. This orientation phase is supposed to be completed within two weeks. Afterwards, your advisor will provide you with a detailed and written feedback on the submitted proposal and register your thesis at the examinations office. From that moment, you will have nine weeks to write your bachelor thesis and may consult with your advisor when needed during that time.
Please see the StudOn group for further information.
Masterstudium Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen:Students who are interested in writing their „Projektarbeit“ at our chair can choose from the list of bachelor theses topics published in StudOn. The above-mentioned prerequisites and application procedures apply. |
