The Department of International Management is excited to share that a new publication titled “Ethical Issues in International Business Research” by Professor Dr. Dirk Holtbrügge has just been published in Management International Review.

The article explores the ethical challenges inherent in international business research, highlighting how cultural diversity and socio-economic disparities can heighten the risk of questionable or unethical practices. It identifies various forms of such practices across different stages of the research process and critically examines issues such as ethnocentric bias and coercive citation. To mitigate these risks and enhance ethical research, the author proposes four approaches aimed at strengthening the credibility and integrity of international business research.
